Native Echo Flutes
This flute donation is
a bass flute crafted from Nutmeg with a buckeye burl mouth piece and fetish. Nutmeg is a rare piece of wood similar in character to Yellow Cedar. It smells just like the spice of the same name. Native
Echo flutes are a lined bored single piece flute keeping
the flute body intact. It features a special tri-mode tuning with a fundamental
in the key of A. The tri-mode tuning features the normal mode 1 and 4 minor pentatonic scale you are use to and also features 11 out of the 12 of a major scale when you cross finger this flute. It also features a beautiful
a Turquoise stone inlay that contrast the pale yellow color of the
Nutmeg. It's a lot of fun to play with the extra notes hiding in this wonderful instrument. Click
here to listen to this flute and this unique scale. The value of this flute is $600.
This flute donation is a D minor special edition flute. It's made of aspen wood & walnut, and is a vintage 2001 special edition. This is a discontinued key for me, making it a bit rare. This flute retailed for $260.
This is an ocarina style flute, known as a gems horn. It is a five-hole flute tuned to G in the "standard" Native American flute scale. The flute was crafted from the horn of an African gemsbok antelope and has a length of 30 inches. A fleece flute bag and instruction booklet are included.

The flute I created for the 2008 Flute Festival is a low E.
The wood used in the body of the flute is 50,000 year old Kauri from the
Peat Bogs of New Zealand.
I chose Radiata pine for the end caps that is also from New Zealand.
The retail price is $550.00

This lively Mad Max flute in the key of G is made from a Saguaro cactus spine. The mouthpiece is Mesquite with a band of bloodwood. The coyote fetish is also made of Mesquite. The flute is bored with some turquoise inlays. Saguaro cactus and mesquite wood are native to the Sonoran Desert. To our knowledge, Max is the only flute maker that has made a flute from Saguaro cactus. This is one of three in existence which makes it a rare find. This flute is valued at $350.
This flute donation is made of Gum Cherry, 1” bore in the key of E, it has a redwood burl block and four turquoise inlayed rings. It retails for $240.00
This flute, in A minor pentatonic modes 1 & 4, was made from the unsplit branch of an Arizona Cypress tree.
Some of the bark has been left on creating a beautiful contrast with the exposed grain.
Crushed malachite stone has been inlaid in some of the natural crevices of the bark contributing color and an impression
of moss growing on the side of the branch. American Bison lacing with malachite and carved bone beads holds
the bird to the nest. This finefly finished branch flute comes with its own stand, made from an Arizona Cyrpess branch as well.
Retail price is $350.00.

This donation flute is in the key of E minor, and is multicolored ironwood with ironwood caps and turquoise inlay in the imperfections of the ironwood. I would sell this for about $295.00. The fetish is my traditional roadrunner in ironwood.
